Delete your account

You can permanently delete your TukTukVPN account and the personal data tied to it at any time. This page explains exactly what happens, how long it takes, and how to start — including if you have already uninstalled the app.

How to request deletion

From the app (recommended)

  1. Open TukTukVPN and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your access is switched off immediately.

If you no longer have the app

You do not need to reinstall TukTukVPN to be forgotten. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify that you own the address before acting, then process the request the same way as the in-app path.

What gets deleted

When the request completes, we permanently erase the personal data associated with your account, including:

  • Your profile: email address, name, and login credentials.
  • Your VPN access on our servers — every device credential is revoked.
  • Your subscription and referral records tied to your account.

TukTukVPN keeps no activity logs — no browsing history, no traffic contents, no connection logs — so there is no such data to delete in the first place.

The 30-day grace period

Deletion is not instant, on purpose. When you request it, we immediately disable your VPN access and mark the account for deletion, but the data is not erased for 30 days. During that window you can change your mind — sign back in (or email us) and cancel the request, and your access is restored. After 30 days the account and its data are permanently purged and cannot be recovered.

What we must retain, and why

A small amount of data outlives the account, only where the law requires it or to protect the service:

  • Billing and tax records. Records of payments (amounts, dates, invoices) are retained for the period required by accounting and tax law. These are held by us and by the payment processor that took the money (for App Store or Google Play purchases, that is Apple or Google).
  • Fraud and abuse signals. Where we recorded a fraud or abuse event, we keep the minimal record needed to prevent repeat abuse — detached from your deleted profile.

Deleting your account does not cancel store subscriptions

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your TukTukVPN account does not stop that subscription from renewing — the store owns the billing. Cancel the subscription in Google Play → Subscriptions (or in your Apple ID settings) as well.
